I know I’m a day late but it’s a holiday weekend so I’m cutting myself slack on that. At least I’m here before the weekend is over. There’s not a lot to tell you, but I want to get back in the habit of giving updates, even if they’re minor. A small check-in is better than no check-in, much as a little bit of a writing done is better than none.
I can’t say it’s been a productive week, but it was still the most productive week I’ve had in recent history. I managed to get up and do my pre-work editing on two days this week, and I’m here again before the long weekend is over to write my blog. I’m going to be following this up with a bit more editing.
I also did some reading this week; another thing I’ve been slacking on. And yesterday I engaged in that free-form, improv storytelling that is D&D. So the words and creativity have been with me a little more this week, which is nice. That said, I don’t want to promise that I’m back on the road to normalcy, or that each week going forward will be an improvement on the last. I’m not convinced yet that that’s how I’m feeling.
But it was good to write a little bit, and it was good to spend time with my fellow writers and storytellers. It’s good to give this update, and it will be good to work on the novel a little. I hope you’re also finding little bits of good scattered throughout your days. Hopefully, we’ll all be back here next week, with tales of good things to tell.
